Citymeals-On-Wheels Power Lunch for Women: A Powerful Impact

Did you know more than 5 million seniors regularly go hungry? Citymeals-on-Wheels raises private funds to ensure no homebound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company.

On November 20, FIJI Water employees in the NY region gathered at the Citymeals-on-Wheels distribution center on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to help make deliveries to the elderly. Each employee helped make deliveries of five or more meals to home-bound recipients. FIJI Water’s Forest Restoration Project Is Well Underway With First 250 Acres Planted

FIJI Water is a carbon negative product and the only bottled water brand in the market to offset its emissions by 120%. We think that’s pretty cool. And yet, it doesn’t end there.

The reforestation of the Sovi Basin begins, in conjunction with Conservation International.

Our reforestation project that helps us to get to our carbon negative status delivers so much more. Joining forces with Conservation International and the people of Fiji, we have begun planting our new forest last month (the first 250 acres, anyway).

FIJI Water Spends a Day with Habitat for Humanity

What’s built through donations, generosity, care, and volunteers? A Habitat for Humanity house! On November 5, 2009, the FIJI LA office took a trip to Downey and Imperial, Calif., to spend the day with Habitat for Humanity.

Employees split up into teams at two different sites in various degrees of completion. Some were hammering, building, and constructing, while others were painting, gardening, and putting the trimmings on an almost finished house. The site in Imperial, still in the early stages of construction, will be one of Habitat for Humanity’s many LEED-certified homes. Local Fiji Communities Get Clean Water Filters

On October 23 and 24, the FIJI Water Foundation partnered with the Give Clean Water organization to install water filters in Fiji communities. More than 35 FIJI Water employees, students, teachers, and FIJI Water family members volunteered for the event. Even the Give Clean Water bus drivers decided to stick around and help when they saw the work the volunteers were engaged in.
