New York Fashion Week Interns Announced
We are proud to announce the winners of the February 2012 New York Fashion Week Internship Contest: Lucy Angel, Stacey Levine, and Tahirah Jarrett. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who entered and everyone who voted.
We asked Tahirah, Stacey, and Lucy to tell us a little about themselves and what their career goals are.
Lucy Angel is a Chicago native, fashion and vintage enthusiast and entrepreneur. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she is studying Textile and Apparel Design and Entrepreneurship. Lucy hopes to one day be completely emerged in the New York fashion scene, and being at New York Fashion Week is the first step.
Stacey Levine is studying Public Communication and Marketing at American University in Washington, DC. She is from New Rochelle, NY but longs to move to Manhattan so she can call herself a real New Yorker. Stacey absolutely loves all things social media and spends a lot of time reading fashion blogs and writing her own. Her dream is to find a career in fashion PR in New York City. She couldn’t be more thrilled to finally fulfill her dream of experiencing New York Fashion Week!
Tahirah Jarrett is a 20-year old Fashion Merchandising and Managment major from Clermont, Florida. Upon graduation she plans to pursue many ventures as an entrepreneur or what she calls an fashion-prenuer. In the summer of 2011 Tahirah had the opportunity to work alongside stylist Melanie Pace at Orlando’s Fashion Week assisting backstage and dressing Stacey-Ann from season ten of Americas Next Top Model. With her experiences, she looks forward to fulfilling her dreams in the world of fashion.
