Vote for the Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Internship Finalists
New York Fashion week is just around the corner and our search for four fantastic interns continues.

FIJI Water's Fall 2009 Fashion Week interns
We carefully read through all the entries we received on our blog and narrowed our choices down to seven fabulous fashionistas, who have submitted videos of themselves answering these questions:
1. If Fashion Week were an island and you could take only three things with you, what would they be and why?
2. If you were a pair of shoes, which pair of shoes would you be and why?
3. If you were to attend a premiere Fashion Week party, what would you wear and why?
Now it’s up to you to vote for your favorite intern candidate. Read the rest of this entry »

Continuing the Global Relief Effort in Haiti

A soldier palletizes water to be air-dropped in Haiti.
After a week of urgent calls and logistical hurdles, FIJI Water is now able to donate more than 136,000 liters of water to the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti. Given the disrupted infrastructure throughout the country, our biggest challenge was coordinating the transportation of the much-needed water. Thanks to the United States Military, specifically the Fort Bragg base in North Carolina, we are now assured that the water will reach those who need it so desperately.
When Fort Bragg’s chief of supply called to offer transportation for our water, we jumped at the opportunity. Within 48 hours, eight trucks carrying 150 pallets of FIJI Water arrived at Fort Bragg. The water is being prepared for shipment now; it will be air-dropped and marked “For Humanitarian Aid Only” — which means the water will go directly to the people of Haiti.
We’d like to give a special thanks Read the rest of this entry »

Joining the Global Relief Effort in Haiti
FIJI Water and its parent company, Roll International, have made several financial commitments to non-profit organizations to help support the people of Haiti in their time of need. We are committed to donating money to organizations that were on the ground in Haiti prior to the disaster and that will continue to help the people after the initial emergency response is over. One group with whom we are working is Partners in Health (PIH), who has had a presence in Haiti for nearly 25 years and is one of the largest non-governmental health care providers in the country.

Did you know more than 5 million seniors regularly go hungry? Citymeals-on-Wheels raises private funds to ensure no homebound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company.

Michael Bolton, Marcia Stein, and FIJI Water CEO John Cochran
On November 20, FIJI Water employees in the NY region gathered at the Citymeals-on-Wheels distribution center on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to help make deliveries to the elderly. Each employee helped make deliveries of five or more meals to home-bound recipients. Our very own CEO, John Cochran, also delivered meals with FIJI friend and multi-platinum recording artist Michael Bolton. Read the rest of this entry »

FIJI Water Spends a Day with Habitat for Humanity

At the Habitat for Humanity site in Imperial, Calif.
Employees split up into teams at two different sites in various degrees of completion. Some were hammering, building, and constructing, while others were painting, gardening, and putting the trimmings on an almost finished house. The site in Imperial, still in the early stages of construction, will be one of Habitat for Humanity’s many LEED-certified homes. At the Downey site, a home is in the final stages for Betty, a single mother of three children, two of whom require special Read the rest of this entry »
