Citymeals-On-Wheels Power Lunch for Women: A Powerful Impact
Did you know more than 5 million seniors regularly go hungry? Citymeals-on-Wheels raises private funds to ensure no homebound elderly New Yorker will ever go a day without food or human company.

Michael Bolton, Marcia Stein, and FIJI Water CEO John Cochran
On November 20, FIJI Water employees in the NY region gathered at the Citymeals-on-Wheels distribution center on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to help make deliveries to the elderly. Each employee helped make deliveries of five or more meals to home-bound recipients. Our very own CEO, John Cochran, also delivered meals with FIJI friend and multi-platinum recording artist Michael Bolton. “This is my fourth year participating in this event,” said John. “While delivering these meals, I’ve met people whose faces and stories will stay with me for the rest of my life.”
Later that day, John and Michael attended the 23rd annual Citymeals-on-Wheels Power Lunch for women, a gathering of 300 of the country’s most influential women in philanthropy, business, society, and entertainment. Some of the women in attendance included: Gloria Steinem, Deborah Roberts, Kathie Lee Gifford, Silda Wall Spitzer, Donna Hanover, Tyne Daly, Kathleen Turner, Kelly Rutherford, and Jane Krakowski. FIJI Water donated $25,000 to raise awareness about Citymeals in supermarkets throughout NYC. This year’s power lunch raised $1.15 mil to go towards more meals. Now you can understand why we’re so proud to be the official water of Citymeals-on-Wheels!
