10/29/09|Local Fiji Communities Get Clean Water Filters
On October 23 and 24, the FIJI Water Foundation partnered with the Give Clean Water organization to install water filters in Fiji communities. More than 35 FIJI Water employees, students, teachers, and FIJI Water family members volunteered for the event. Even the Give Clean Water bus drivers decided to stick around and help when they saw the work the volunteers were engaged in. Even our youngest volunteer, Philip Scougall (age 1), lent a helping hand! Together, they installed more than 130 water filters in the Natunuku and Sasa villages.

Since 2008, the Give Clean Water organization has installed more than 1,000 household water filters in communities around Nadi and Ba. Beginning July 2009, the FIJI Water Foundation has donated $30,000 USD (more than $60,000 FJD) toward the installation of as many as 300 water filters in Ba area homes. Friday and Saturday’s volunteers installed more than 130 water filters in the Natunuku and Sasa villages. In 10 years, Give Clean Water aims to install a filter in every home in Fiji.
The PointOne filters, which eliminate 99.9% of all disease-causing bacteria and are designed after filters used in kidney dialysis, come with a lifetime guarantee if used and maintained properly. The Give Clean Water and FIJI Foundation team also conducted a community education session on the importance of drinking clean water. Give Clean Water has three local Fiji staff who will return to these communities in a few weeks to do a follow-up visit and check on the filters.

we need zeolite energy water to to clean toxin in our body to keep it clean. I never know and never drink this water until I found out zeolite volcanic rock can help to clean toxin in our body the sickness problems, because we get no healthy water and the way we eat and people keep dieing the life in the cities. I am trying to drink volcanic rock water and see how is my body geting more healthy.
