Crowds flock to the beach to watch the final game in the U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball.

Get ready to bump, set, and spike your way to the last event in the 2009 U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball by entering to win two tickets and two nights’ accommodations at the beach. Catch long-time champ and fan favorite Karch Kiraly as he plays his last games before retirement after almost 30 years on the sand. The third annual U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball will be held September 25th, 26th and 27th in Manhattan Beach, Calif., beside the historic Manhattan Beach Pier.

Kiraly, a three-time Gold Medalist, has has become one of the most recognized sports figures today. †At age 46, he is considered the “Michael Jordan” of pro beach volleyball and is the oldest player to compete in the sport, where he continues to beat competitors half his age. Kiraly grew up in Santa Barbara and currently lives in San Clemente, so the SoCal native is sure to have a huge crowd of friends, family, and locals out to see him before he retires.

The U.S. Open consists of two-person teams for men, women, and co-eds, ranging in experience from novice to expert.†There were 32†Official Qualifier events leading up to this final weekend.
