Our yummiest prize sponsor to date is local to San Diego, but their reputation among organic and artisanal foodies has outgrown county borders. Chuao Chocolatier was founded by two Venezuelan brothers who use rare Venezuelan cacao as the base for wonderfully creative, savory-spicy-sweet confections such as “Firecracker” truffles (chipotle-infused caramel fudge) and green tea-infused ginger ganache.
