Congratulations to Teghan, Kristie, Marco, and Gabriel, the winners of our biannual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Internship Contest! These four fabulous fashionistas will be coming with us to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City this September 8-15 at Lincoln Center.
This season’s internship contest had a record number of entries, almost 300, and some very heated voting in the final video round. The winners really had to work it to drum up support, which is of course exactly the right attitude needed for the fashion industry.
We asked our interns to “tell us a little about yourself,” and we’ve shared what we learned, below. If you want to see the wonderful videos they created to earn their internships, visit our Facebook page.
Collins is a 22-year-old fashion fanatic, entertainment enthusiast, and social media addict who doesn’t plan on ever going to rehab. Thanks to her military upbringing, Collins loves to travel and can call Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Pennsylvania home.
Dash, a Communications & Media Studies major at Pace University, has had the most exciting year of her life thanks to New York City’s wealth of opportunity and her motivated, hard-working attitude. She is obsessed with all things related to pop culture, fashion being at the top. Dash plans on interning a lot to discover what her true calling is but would love to write for a fashion magazine.
