Enter to Win the "Vino Maximus" Ticket Giveaway Contest With JET

The only thing better than a wine-tasting is a wine-tasting in Las Vegas, and the only thing better than that is a wine-tasting in Las Vegas attended by rock superstars JET. One witty wine-lover will win two VIP tickets to “Vino Maximus” and the chance to meet one of rock’s hottest new bands.

FIJI Water and Rock ‘n Roll Wine are excited to give away two very VIP tickets to Vino Maximus, a premiere wine-tasting event to be held March 27, 2010, at the renowned Caesars Palace.

The inaugural affair to debut the completely renovated Garden of the Gods Oasis, Vino Maximus will be a catered, poolside party featuring some 120 high-end wines from more than 40 different wineries. What’s more, FIJI Water will be hosting the FIJI Water Luxury Lounge, a separate, ticketed space that will feature great food, the finest wines (served in Riedel glasses), and of course, the finest premium water.

Guests to Vino Maximus will be entertained by opening musical acts the Crash Kings and Imagine Dragons, followed by the multi-platinum rock quartet JET as they perform on a plexiglass-covered swimming pool (one of the Garden’s 18 different swimming options).

How to Enter

Oenophiles, FIJI Water enthusiasts, and JET setters can combine their love of all three by answering the following simple question in the comments to this blog post:

“If your favorite wine were a rock-’n'-roll song, what would it be, and why?”

Responses can be as long as you’d like, but all you have to do to win is be funny, clever, moving, witty, or profound — in a word, “good.” That’s because the best entry selected by our judging team will win two VIP, all-access tickets to Vino Maximus, as well as a personal introduction to multi-platinum-selling JET.

So if your favorite Chianti reminds you of Kanye, or your preferred Merlot reminds you of a Dusty Springfield melody, be sure to tell us about it, and why. Examples:

  • If my Shiraz were a rock-’n'-roll song, it would be ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T’ by Aretha Franklin, because it’s strong and soulful.
  • If my Domaine Chandon were a rock-n-roll song it would be ‘Celebration’ by Madonna, because it’s so festive.

The Fine Print:

  • Be sure to include a valid email address when leaving a comment on our blog so we can contact you
  • You must be 21 years or older
  • Only entries submitted between Friday, March 19, at 12:01 a.m. PST and Wednesday, March 24 at 11:59 p.m. PST will be considered.
  • Official rules

It’s that simple. On your mark, JET set, go!

Update:

Congratulations to Stephanie C. for her winning entry. Enjoy yourself, Stephanie, and let us know how it went. If you take pictures, please send us some so we can put them up on our Facebook page.

If my favorite champagne (Moët Chandon Nectar Imperial) were a song, it would have to be the Alka Selzer jingle..."Plop, plop, fizz, fizz...oh what a relief it is". But replace the 'plop' with 'pop' as in the pop of a cork! Perfectly fitting!

If my Favorite wine (Batasiolo Moscato d'Asti) was a song it would most definitely be Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline. Not only is this wine sweet on the palate but it gives you a sweet and fuzzy feeling all over when you drink it, just like the feeling you get when everyone in a party starts singing Sweet Caroline. Hands...Touchin Hands, ...Reachin' out, ...Touchin' Me, ...Touchin' You, .....Sweet Caroline.......Good Times never seamed so Good......So Godd.

If my favorite Merlot (Penny's Hill) were a rock-’n'-roll song, it would be ‘Ramble On' by Led Zeppelin, because it’s so good that after two glasses, that's ALL I do is RAMBLE ON... truth serum they call it!
