Winter turns to spring and spring turns to summer — and that means the 2010 FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen is on its delicious way.
One of the world’s best-known and most respected gastronomic celebrations, the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen is gearing up for an inspiring 28th year. As with previous events, an array of the world’s most famous chefs — as well as a number of promising up-and-comers — will be on hand to dazzle guests with their cooking, share tips and secrets with enthusiasts, and enjoy the beauty of Aspen in the summertime. To buy tickets for this memorable event, visit Food & Wine.
For the 2010 FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen, headline chefs will include Mario Batali, Giada DeLaurentiis, Jacques Pepin, Thomas Keller, Morimoto, David Chang, Art Smith, and Michael Symon.
Of course, many other well-known cooking stars will be on hand, too. Top Chef fanatics will be excited to learn that their favorite judges Tom Colicchio and Food & Wine’s Special Projects Manager Gail Simmons will be cooking up delicious meals, and guests won’t want to miss a special Classic Quickfire with Top Chef Season 6 winner Michael Voltaggio competing against Top Chef Masters winner Rick Bayless.

These talented chefs and others will also be leading 95 very popular and eclectic cooking demonstrations, ranging from the “Best of Ligurian Cooking,” “Korean Marinades for BBQ,” and “I Like American Chardonnay and I’m Not Afraid to Say It!” to the climactic Grand Cochon (ten chefs preparing their best pork dishes), held at the Hotel Jerome.
In keeping with its devotion to the art and joy of food, Food & Wine will donate 2% of the proceeds from every Classic ticket to Grow for Good, which will benefit the Wholesome Wave Foundation. Grow for Good is Food & Wine’s national initiative dedicated to supporting local farms and encouraging sustainable agriculture.
FIJI Water is excited to be the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen’s official bottled water for the eighth year in a row. Its great taste and smooth mouthfeel make it the natural choice for the high-end epicurean industry.
